Joint Coherent and Non-Coherent Detection and Decoding Techniques for Heterogeneous Networks

Cellular networks that are traditionally designed for human-type communication (HTC) have the potential to provide cost effective connectivity machine-type (MTC). However, MTC is characterized by unprecedented traffic in cellular networks, thus posing a challenge its successful incorporation. In this work, we propose unified framework amicable coexistence of and HTC. We consider heterogeneous network where devices coexist with enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) transceiver techniques promote efficient signal recovery from these devices. For this, present an eMBB pilot data generation strategy facilitates joint coherent decoding non-coherent data. Furthermore, assess feasibility using receiver operating characteristics, outage probability, normalized mean square error (NMSE). Our numerical results reveal harmonious services can be achieved properly configured average signal-to-noise ratios length.
